Post Finish
Popular finishes for this process includes clear and yellow and other finishing colors.
Rack or Barrel
This process is normally performed on a racking line. A barrel line is a less expensive option available for smaller parts.
Special Treatment
A range of special treatment options are available. For zinc, the popular options are masking and stripping of previous plating.
Maximum Size
The plating tank size is 14 x 6 x 2 ft for zinc-chloride. For the automatic udylite machine the maximum size is 1.3 x 3 x 2 ft. For other alloys the maximum size is 8 x 2.5 x 3 ft. Maximum size for the barrel line is 8 x 2.5 x 3 ft.
Thickness
Range from flash (less than one-tenth) to 1 thou (0.001 inch).
Specification
ASTM, MIL, QQ or to customer specifications
Base Material
These processes can be performed on most base metals. There are special processes for plating on aluminum and bronze.
