Facilities

Our Toronto facilities consist of two plants – a 22,000 sq ft plating plant and a 10,000 sq ft powdercoat plant along with quality assurance laboratories, waste treatment facilities and management offices.

Plating

The plating plant consists of seven different plating lines with multiple capabilities, varying from a fully automated rack line for zinc plating, to a variety of very large rack and barrel hoist lines. The plant has undergone major changes in recent years. All of the lines have been replaced or significantly upgraded since 1999.

Capabilities

• Large volume and small volume production runs.
• Large tank size capabilities — up to 14 ft.
• We also specialize in technically difficult products that require an innovative approach to processing. This enables us to offer a complete range of processes including zinc, nickel, chrome, electroless nickel, cadmium, silver, tin, powdercoating copper, passivation of stainless steel, plating on aluminum, bright dip, pickling, cleaning, polishing, and sand blasting. Laboratory

Our on-site quality assurance laboratory enables us to conform to a range of quality specifications. The following tests can be performed:

• Plating thickness on XRF, Dermitron, Positector and Kocour testers
• Solution testing on XRF and Hach tester
• Salt spray tests.

Laboratory equipment is certified regularly.

Waste

We have commenced with the implementation of ISO14000 for a complete quality commitment to environmental issues. Our process chemicals are monitored and treated in a state-of-the-art waste treatment facility to a standard higher than the required regulations.
